2011 DOMESTIC GROSSES (January-June)

#1–20

01. $243,943,000 - The Hangover Part II
02. $229,060,000 - Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
03. $207,745,000 - Fast Five
04. $177,227,000 - Thor
05. $153,042,000 - Kung Fu Panda 2
06. $146,659,000 - Bridesmaids
07. $139,636,000 - Rio
08. $132,815,000 - X-Men: First Class
09. $123,000,000 - Rango
10. $108,085,305 - Hop

11. $103,028,109 - Just Go With It
12. $099,967,670 - Gnomeo and Juliet
13. $098,780,042 - The Green Hornet
14. $095,186,000 - Super 8
15. $089,311,000 - Green Lantern
16. $083,552,429 - Battle: Los Angeles
17. $079,127,815 - Limitless
18. $073,013,910 - Justin Bieber: Never Say Never
19. $070,662,220 - No Strings Attached
20. $068,000,000 - Cars 2

Biggest surprise: The Green Hornet pulling in that much money. I saw the trailer for the first time the other day, and I must say it looks fun.
X-Men: First Class and Green Lantern are under performing box office wise, maybe audience are getting tired of Superhero movies. All could change when Captain America hits the screen though. Kung Fu Panda 2 was marked as a flop but it looks like it grew legs.

No huge domestic box office smash so far but Transformers 3 opens this week so, we shall see ...
