Title: Night of the Lepus
Post by: Vermin Boy on March 29, 2001, 10:46:45 PM
Anyone know if there are any plans to release this classic badfilm on video (or DVD!) any time soon? For that matter, does anyone know why there's never been a video release for it? You'd think there'd be SOME demand for it...

I second that motion. Poor Dr. McCoy...I dare anyone to watch his scenes and not think of a half dozen lines that start with ,"Dammit, jim,i'm a --------- not a ---------. And lets not forget the Rabbits,george.....rabbits. If you ever find a print of this flim...think B-Fest 2002!

I was released by MGM/UA (?!), so it could come out on the Midnight Movie label.  I hope it does.

"THERE IS A HERD OF KILLER RABBITS HEADING THIS WAY!"

I want a special edition DVD with additional footage, behind-the-scenes explanations of how those amazing FX were accomplished, and a narritive track by Elmer Fudd.

Oh, man, the wife and I have laughed at this thing like almost no other modern bad film, with the possible exception of "Devil Dog:  Hound From Hell".  What can you say about bunnies shot in slo-mo, supposedly huge, running over top of one another & blinking as bunnies do?  The Horror . . . .The Horror . . .
I love this film.

Well, I don't know about Lepus, but MGM is putting out a DVD of The Thing With Two Heads, and that's never been out on video either.  So hope (and rabbits) spring eternal.
