Title: WEREWOLF OF WOODSTOCK (1975) Post by: RCMerchant on August 18, 2011, 05:31:58 AM I was browsing through old threads and came upon one "Movies you need to see" from 2006.

"Werewolf of Woodstock" WAS distributed commercially and shown on big screens in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area, as my wife saw it as a young teenager & alerted me to its existence. All you can find of it are single-sentence mentions of it in reviews of "Werewolf of Washington." I think you and I were probably the only two people who saw it - or will admit to it!
A farmer gets upset with all the hippies running around Yasgur's Farm so he sneaks onto the Woodstock stage to sabatoge it. He gets struck by lightning which naturally turns him into a werewolf. I vividly remember the 'dune buggy' chase and wondering "I stayed til the wee hours of the morning for this?". :buggedout: I think Joni Mitchell originally had a verse about the werewolf in her song 'Woodstock' but it got cut for time... We came upon a werewolf He was eatin' up this dog And I ask 'em I said Hey, are you trippin'? And he said "WRRAWWWLL". Was it transfered to film for theatrical release like like "Blair Witch?" I remember seeing video shot promos for that one, and was very confused as to how it was going to be shown at the movies. It amazes me that 90% of people still don't know the difference between film and videotape. I can't tell you how many times I have had to explain this to people and they never figure out what I'm talking about.

Was it transfered to film for theatrical release like like "Blair Witch?" I remember seeing video shot promos for that one, and was very confused as to how it was going to be shown at the movies. It amazes me that 90% of people still don't know the difference between film and videotape. I can't tell you how many times I have had to explain this to people and they never figure out what I'm talking about. Itt was made for ABC TV...this atoricty never made it to theaters-HELL- it barley made it to TV-Its a wreck!!!! :thumbup: |
