Well, let's look at the other reasons:

They want to make sure everyone hears and understands and agrees to the rules, so there's no bankrupting lawsuits from surviving family\friends when some sad-sack decides to jump out of the plane at 35,000 feet after seeing "My Girlfriend Cheated On Me With My Best Friend" or some other recent Hollywood buzzkill.

Just kidding, people  :tongueout:

In my case, a waste of breath on their part. I don't watch the films they show on airlines.

(1) I've already seen it.
(2) I have no interest in seeing it.
(3) or I do not watch films that have been edited for content, which is normally what happens when they show a film on airlines.

They wouldn't have to issue the warning if someone hadn't threatened to sue them for showing a sad movie.

Thanks! I was worried there for a minute about what everyone was going to think of what I posted. It does sound a bit insensitive and trying to make light of a potentially serious situation, but the point gets across.
