Title: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992) vs Inside (2007)
Post by: Swamp Thing on December 11, 2011, 05:31:31 PM
Ok, I know that they are completely different movies... one is a straight forward thriller, the other is an exercise in pure terror!

But in my opinion it's like the makers of Inside pitched Inside as The Hand That Rocks the Cradle meets pure ultra-violence!

For example I was watching "The Hand.." yesterday and it came up to a scene where I thought the Inside guys must of created a homage scene to "The Hand.." but just upped the ante.

Anyway, which movie wins for you? I'll take Inside, but The Hand is a solid thriller.

Never seen "Inside," so take that for what it's worth, but I still remember that "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle" is one of the scariest films I've ever seen. It also heps that John de Lancie, who is probably best known for playing Q on "Star Trek" has a small role at the start of the film. Rebecca de Mornay, who plays a double role in the film, also has a great scene where she goes beserk in a restroom in the film. "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle" for me.
