Title: The Fifth Floor (1978)
Post by: claws on January 15, 2012, 03:06:30 PM
Plot: A young woman collapses on the disco dance floor of what's revealed to be strychnine poisoning. Assuming that this is an attempt at suicide, her boyfriend and doctor have her committed to the Fifth Floor, an asylum with obviously crazy inmates and a predatory orderly. While there she still manages to teach her fellow inmates the latest disco dance moves.

I saw this in the freakin' drive-in!  I can't remember what the 2nd feature was, but I believe it might have been DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE!

Yes, THE FIFTH FLOOR is pretty bad, but if you're a fan of movies where women are terrorized in hospitals and/or mental institutions, maybe you ought to see it!  Also, Bo Hopkins plays a leering orderly, so how can you go wrong?

I saw this on Showtime in 1981. I liked it!

I remember the ads for this in the paper, and the trailer!  I have been looking for this for a long time!  Get it in gear Netflix!

This movie almost sounds fake when you mention the disco stuff.  I must see it!
