my dad was coughing like hell when I went to visit him in Florida and I got whatever he has. Finally going to see a doctor today. Should be interesting not only to see what I have but because the only other time I drove whilehaving this illness I felt much worse upon getting home. Not that it makes it any more pleasant, of course. But I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't wait if I were you. If you're coughing up blood I wouldn't wait 2 days. I understand you're waiting to see if the meds clear it up, but still, I would at least give your doctor a call and see if the nurse practitioner can at least talk to you and give you some advice. I agree, give them a call and ask them if it's anything to worry about. It's probably just a symptom of coughing so much but no sense in taking a chance. I'm guessing they could probably prescribe you a stronger cough suppressant.
