Title: Songs that give you a pain somewhere?
Post by: Trevor on February 21, 2012, 08:43:05 AM
I get a stabbing pain in my right ear whenever I hear Stuck In The Middle With You.

Anything from ABBA...I heard one of their songs last night on Malcolm in the Middle and had to restrain myself from hurling my plate like a frisbee at the TV.

"Sugar, We're Goin' Down" by Fallout Boy causes me physical pain. If that song comes on the radio I have to changes stations quick or risk driving into oncoming traffic.

Anything by Nickelback temporally kills me.

The song "Get Low" by Lil' Jon & Eastside Boyz makes my intestines want to writhe like electrified snakes, my bowels want to empty themselves like a busted water balloon, and my eardrums want to run and hide like a dog during a fireworks display.

TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN....what sane individual would rhyme "Texas" with "facts is"?

BANG ON THE DRUM....Sadly, probably Todd's best known, and most successful cut, and it sucks gymsox.

TAKE IT ON THE RUN....Actually, most everything by REO Spudbucket, save for RIDIN' THE STORM OUT and
 CAN'T FIGHT THIS FEELIN'

BLACK HOLE SUN....reminds me of a bad malt-liquor hangover.

Whitney Houston's yodeling version of I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

ANYTHING done by faggy, pretty-boy teen idols.

Actually, Take the Money and Run is one of the few Steve Miller songs I like. But I am in total agreement on Bang on the Drum. That song sounds like something he was goofing around with and somebody decided to hit "REC."

That's the only Fallout Boy song I can stand.

Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" - 1. That fake-sounding whistle at the beginning makes my brain itch. 2. You do NOT have moves like Jagger, Adam, just cut it out.

Any song by My Chemical Romance.

Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" - she's got a great voice but the woman cannot write lyrics worth sh*t.

This probably annoys my husband a lot....but I actually like that song. It sounds like they're all just having a good time. Todd has done some much stranger stuff...IMO.

Any song that treats people as objects, like SAD EYES, or ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG; Gary Puckett and the Union Gap were noted for such songs.

Agreed. I prefer to treat people like subjects. Call me King Jimmy.

Should I or should I not play a song right now?  Decisions decisions.

"Sugar, We're Goin' Down" by Fallout Boy causes me physical pain. If that song comes on the radio I have to changes stations quick or risk driving into oncoming traffic.

That song is weird.  To this day, I cannot tell you any of the lyrics of it since I cannot understand a damn word they are saying in that one.  I can understand their other songs though.

The Big Bang by Rock Mafia makes me twitch.  That has to be the most annoying and irrating song I have ever heard.  The voice, the guitar, and the flippin' whistling.  It all drives me crazy!

To save time, Miley Cryus is the only thing about this song/video that doesn't bother me.

"Smooth" by Santana: Ow! My ears! My ears!

"What A Girl Wants" by Christine Aguilera: Ow! My brain! My brain!

"Imagine" by John Lennon: Ow! My brain! And my ears! And my brain! And my ears! Ow! Ow! Ow!

Anything by Alanis Morisette is infuriatingly awful and makes me want to stab my brain with a QTip.
Anything classified as emo.
Anything classisfied as deathcore.
Any popular music released in the past 12 years. (I despise all the modern production trickery that makes everything sound exactly the same...)  :hatred:
Any hiphop released in the past 12 years.
Any country released since....I dunno, the 70s maybe?
I'm so glad numetal is dead and/or in the cutout bin.

"Torn Between Two Lovers" by Mary MacGregor....I have despised this song since I first heard it. I mean, come on! I've been a dishonest, cheating creep but please stay with me because I feel so bad. What a #$%%&! jerk!

I came over to agree with Voltron about the numetal but he kept yelling at me to get off his lawn  :buggedout:

I really really hate "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John.  Culminates everything I hate about twee hipster rock in general.

And then there's Tom Waits, who I sort of like but his stuff is really hard to get into...
