I have no idea when that actual blooming season is, but given it's a cactus I doubt the rains have much to do with it.

(http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/ww28/jackc8/images.jpg) Originally our state flower was the Lady Slipper (Cypripedium calceolus), but then they found out they don't grow in Minnesota. :bouncegiggle: So they changed it to the pink and white one (Cypripedium reginae). An evergreen shrub that grows little yellow flowers and blue berries, that maybe somewhat resemble grapes, though the Oregon Grape is not in itself a grape at all.

Delaware's state flower is the peach blossom, which is perfect for me. Not only are they nice to look at and lovely to smell, but they mean PEACHES are coming - that I can eat. I love peaches. Is it peach season yet?
