Chief Quimby, Reverend Lovejoy, Ned Flanders, and Mr. Burns might be short for Burnside (the divider between North and South Portland).

Which, as we all know, borders Ohio, Nevada, Maine and Kentucky. Basically, Springfield has no state! Just an inspiration city, that's about it. The locations and events in Springfield are geographically impossible on purpose. :smile: |
