Title: Eerily lifelike Tupac Shakur Hologram used in performance Post by: Fausto on April 16, 2012, 11:24:00 PM http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/tupac-hologram-cost-coachella-organizers-around-100-000-012938517.html
This is scary. Amazing, but scary. It seems the Olympics might be able to get Keith Moon after all. Title: Re: Eerily lifelike Tupac Shakur Hologram used in performance Post by: dean on April 17, 2012, 04:00:38 AM It's pretty cool, but it's not what I would call 'eerily' lifelike. More like a good video game version of Tupac.
They did a similar thing for the live show of War of the Worlds a few years ago by creating a disembodied head of Richard Burton so he could do his narration stuff during the live show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IPD-7MeG3E Sure, infinitely easier to animate a head, but both the Tupac and Burton vid did a good job considering. I think it started with those 'Duets' CD's some years ago.
