That Peter Higgs guy must be having a great day. According to the article he first proposed the idea of the Higgs boson back in the '60s, and now at age 83, he's lived to see its existence confirmed. Looks like they still have a ton of work to do before they will know for sure. Honestly, I would be surprised if CERN has found it this quickly.
