Title: Friday the 13th Part 2: D&D Style
Post by: clockworkcanary on July 12, 2012, 06:39:36 PM
I did part 1 awhile back, so I figured it was time for part 2:

Ginny (Rogue) and Paul (Fighter) have just returned to the cabin after a night of drinking at the local Tavern. Jason awaits, Hiding in the Shadows as they search for their former party members...

Ginny makes a Spot check (19) and yells, “There’s someone in this f**king room!” as Jason Charges Paul (readied action) with a Spear +1 vs. Teenagers, but he misses (7). Paul and Jason Grapple for a few rounds, but finally Jason wins out (18) and knocks Paul to the ground.
Jason slips into the shadows again (14) and Ginny makes another Spot check (10) and sees nothing as she calls out for Paul.

Jason springs from the darkness and Ginny Evades (Dex check 17). Ginny escapes into a room, locks herself in, and arms herself with a Dagger. Jason fails a Pick Locks check (3) and says f**k the door with his Pitchfork +1 (Bash 16). Ginny tries to flee but springs a Crazy Ralph Corpse Trap; She quickly pulls a Dex check (14) escaping out the window, but fails her landing (Dex check 6) and falls on her ass.

She escapes to her car but it won’t start (rolls a 2 on Use Item check) and Jason rips through the roof with his Pitchfork +1 (Bash 15). Ginny makes another Dex check, Hiding in the Shadows of the forest as Jason runs (double-move) after her. She ambushes him (he fails his Spot check with a 5) and rolls a Natural 20, critically kicking him in the balls. Jason falls to the ground (Prone) and Ginny runs to another car. She fails her Lock Pick check (4) but makes a Hide check (13) as she hides behind the car as Jason runs by. Jason rolls a 1 on his Spot Check because her head’s clearly f**king visible from his angle. Ginny double moves the other direction once he’s out of range, but Jason has cut her off; he springs from the shadows, but misses her (9).

Ginny hides under the bed in a cabin (Hide check 8) and Jason knows she’s there. He scouts the room as she fails her Will Save vs. Fear of rats.  She thinks Jason has left so she emerges but he is waiting to ambush (readied action) and he attacks with the Pitchfork +1 and critically misses with a 1 as the chair he’s standing on breaks! He falls to the ground, breaking his Pitchfork in half! Ginny runs for the closet and breaks out the Chainsaw of Doom, Bull Rushing Jason, grazing him for only 2 Hit Points of damage (15) before it runs out of gas (only had one charge). She knocks Jason Prone and follows up with a chair shot to the back, WWE-style for another 3 Hit Points (13), knocking him out (he fails his Fortitude Save with a 5).

Later...

Jason chases Ginny back to his abode, where she has locked herself in; she discovers Jason’s Soccer Mom’s Severed Head, the Machete+1 vs. Potato Sacks, and the Blue Sweater of Stench. Jason busts through the door with a Pick Axe (Bash 15) just as Ginny puts on the nasty sweater, attempting to conceal his mother’s head. She pulls off a Bluff check (19), impersonating his mother and Jason totally buys it (Intelligence fail 4). She convinces him to kneel as she readies an action with the Machete +1 vs Potato Sacks. Jason makes a Spot check (17) and notices his mother’s head and blocks Ginny’s attack (17) and disarms her (Sunder 16). He counter attacks Ginny in the leg (15) for 8 Hit Points of damage, knocking her Prone.

Just then, Paul busts in the door and starts Grappling Jason again. They struggle for a bit as Ginny grabs the Machete+1 vs. Potato Sacks and makes a Sneak check (18), flanking him. Jason thumps Paul to the ground yet again (18), knocking him Prone. As Jason readies an action to finish off Paul, Ginny Sneak Attacks him in the shoulder for 20 Hit Points of damage, taking him down.

Paul mysteriously disappears but Ginny receives 2000 XP, a new pet (Muffin), and a Potato Sack Mask AC+2. She gains a level!
