Title: Fever Dreams
Post by: dean on July 14, 2012, 09:21:03 AM
Just a short film a friend and I made while playing around with his new camera: seems like it turned out pretty well with no pre-planning and on a whim.

Features: Evil looking toy clown, crazed doctors and weird wolf creatures.

Nice cinematography, Dean. Of course, it's easy to be cool when you've got a Portishead backing track.

I tend to think of scary clowns as old hat, but I did like the wolf-headed people and the umbrellas.

Anyway, those are my comments.

Thanks man!

Yeah the clown is a leftover prop from another film: I just brought a bag of 'goodies' of props that I had lying around at home and we thought we'd see what came out in the wash when we were playing around.  I was initially going to do some lighting experiments but my redhead blew a globe so we had to improvise a bit on the hop.

I also had every intention of doing my own drum beat for it but that just fit perfectly so I just layered on some of my own creepy soundscapes over it.  May consider redoing the drums to make it 'official' but as a side project I don't know if I can be bothered.  On to bigger and better!

That is really cool!  It's disturbing and surreal, kind of reminds me of Eyes Wide Shut, but with horror overtones.  Kind of like what would happen if the Eyes Wide Shut crew suffered demonic possession.
