Title: Weird fantasy film Post by: Andrew on August 06, 2012, 07:17:52 AM This was described by someone on the IMDb. I have no clue what it could be, but boy does it interest me.
Quote Saw this movie 89-90. Main characters: Young Boy Wookie type creature Blind gold prospector Princess Zoro (masked man on horse) Blind black man building a small model city An alien humanoid woman who needs gold to power her space rocket. The plot as far as i can remember goes like this. Boy fancies princess, he is too young for her. He rolls down a hill in a dustbin and comes out a teenage man. Zoro turns up and competes with the now grown up boy for the princess. The blind gold prospector has his gold stolen by the alien woman who in turn gets shot by the gold miner. At the end of the film the princess gets rescued by her friends in a jules verne type capsule slung underneath a balloon. Zoro rides off some where. The alien womans rocket ship blasts off thanks to the stolen gold which helped power it. The wookie type creature fixes a beached subamrine and him and the boy go looking for the princess. I remember wathcing this film but can't remember the name of it or the actors who were in it. Title: Re: Weird fantasy film Post by: Andrew on August 07, 2012, 07:16:20 AM Superb! Thank you. I am going to track down a copy, because it sounds awesomely bad.
With the description, I was thinking it would be Italian, so the US/UK/French origin is surprising. Title: Re: Weird fantasy film Post by: Newt on August 07, 2012, 07:27:25 AM It really exists...!! One to track down, for sure.
Title: Re: Weird fantasy film Post by: THOR on August 08, 2012, 07:26:10 AM Can confirm “Dream One (Nemo)” – splendid film, too bad my copy got lost in the desert sand. For some reason it reminded me of films by Terry Gilliam.
I only know of one (non-bootleg) DVD release from German company “Videowelt”, which has both the German and English audio-track. Might want to check out ofdb.de (sortta the German version of imdb), there the copy goes for around nine Euros. Trivia: Did you know Andrew founded the site and instituted the entire forum? Title: Re: Weird fantasy film Post by: M.10rda on June 15, 2021, 08:28:52 AM I did know that! Hence I figured his word was as good as any on this matter. :)
