Title: THE VICTIM (2011)
Post by: indianasmith on September 22, 2012, 10:25:27 PM
People ask why I watch so many low budget movies.  One standard answer I give is that they are frequently CREATIVE.
When you have no money and no big names to work with, you have to come up with something to draw viewers. The choices
seem to be Joe Bob's  three B's  (Blood, Breasts, and Beasts for any Bad Movie noobs), or else try to do something original
and fun. That appears to have been what they were going for in this very low budget thriller, and it worked.

Annie and Mary are two strippers who are out partying with a pair of local cops when things turn south in a hurry.  The senior cop
takes Mary out in the woods for a quickie and winds up breaking her neck in a fit of sadistic passion. Annie winds up fleeing for her
life as the two officers decide that the quick way out is to kill the other girl and bury them both in the woods!

Annie arrives at a cabin inhabited by a loner named Kyle who doesn't want to get dragged into her troubles, but does anyway. What follows
is a bumpy thrill ride that doesn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by  how good this movie actually was.  It is definitely worth the
rental!
