Title: Possible Film involving an old woman ( witch ? ) and younger man
Post by: forestwolf on September 25, 2012, 06:59:21 PM
Really cant remember much on this as I was very young and I saw very little.

What I do remember though is an old woman ( witch ? ) cackling and trying to trap or catch this younger man round this table and slight sexual vibe to it all although she was going to rape him ( at least thats how it felt looking back ) .

I cant remember what the heck happened next ( which has bugged me everytime i remember it ) but this guy then ends up falling from the clouds and thats it.

Not much to go on I know .

It was in colour and defintely felt like it had been 80s ( possibly 70s )

Thats about it.

Any Ideas ?

Robin Hood: Men In Tights (1993) had a scene like this (where the witch played by Tracey Ullman chased the Sheriff of Rottingham around with definite designs on his body); but the sexual vibe was a bit heavier-handed than 'slight' and I do not recall a 'fall-from-the-clouds' scene.

Nope , this way way before then , must of been early 80s I saw this and it stuck with me because it was so odd.

I think it was round 81 I saw this .

Seems like there was something like that in Fairly Tales, which was a t & a comedy from 1978 spoofing popular fairy tales.  I think it had a bit spoofing "Jack and the Beanstalk" with a scene such as you describe.

Nope.. thats not it , theres no Beanstalk scene or old witch in it.

Hmm.  Then I've obviously put the wrong title on the spoof I'm thinking of.  I will have to research this further.

One witch movie I'm thinking of around that time is THE COMING (1981) aka BURNED AT THE STAKE.  Maybe check that out.

Nope I had a look at that here, unless I missed it.

The young man , may have been kitted in light armour - not sure and I think he had dark or brown hair.

Im assuming it was a dream sequence or a fantasy / medieval type film , it had the early 80s or late 70s look , like in Fairy Tales

Well, I've looked through my movie collection and checked all the review websites I visit to see if I can find the movie I mentioned a couple of posts ago, but I can't find it.  I know it was a T&A comedy along the lines of Fairy Tales (if not an actual porno film edited of all hardcore footage) but damned if I can figure out the title to it.  Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Maybe you're thinking of EXCALIBUR (1981).  There's a scene where Morgana the witch screws King Arthur in his sleep, to bear a son she names Mordred.  She later on becomes an old hag, and a horrified Mordred strangles her.  I know you described it a bit differently but sometimes things aren't quite the way you remember them.

Nope I saw that when I was 14 at friends, and remember the scene well

 BounceGiggle

The clouds and whole way he dropped from it was at distance ( I think ) bit like how you saw monkey flying around on his magic cloud in monkey magic( ratio wise ) and it seemed kind of odd , slow or unnatural like in stop motion perhaps so it seemed more surreal.

You could tell it was high up because it was clouds then just thin air - no backdrop n the distance like hills .
