Title: STRANGEST HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE
Post by: alandhopewell on October 17, 2012, 02:25:16 PM
Mine couldn't be any stranger; I died. Halloween, 1978, a massive drug overdose(don't remember what all), my heart stopped in the ER for two and a half minutes, and I was in the hospital for nearly two weeks.

      What about you?

Going around with a little orange milk carton with a coin slot in the top saying "Trick or treat for UNICEF".  The nuns at school gave us those so we could help the poor or some s***.  Being an adult now I'm like WTF?  Why didn't those damned nuns contribute 5 bucks themselves (which was probably about what my entire class collected) and let the little kids have their Halloween?

That was the suckiest Halloween ever.  What that taught me was not to be charitable, but to keep all my Reeses Peanut Butter Cups for myself.

They stopped doing that in the 20s right?   :twirl:

My experience was one of the last times I actually trick or treated.  I was in sixth grade and with two of my neighbors who were about the same same age.  We were followed closely by a group of older kids who apparently wanted to bag snatch us.  They kept gaining numbers and when our bags were almost filled we cut through a neighbor's yard to avoid them.
