I've been curious about this one, even if I'm not curious enough to actually bother to go and seek out a copy so it'd be one less tally on my unofficial quest to see every single 70's and 80's monster movie ever made.

I wouldn't say it's brilliant or anything, but if they released it on DVD or Blu Ray, I'd probably pee a little.

If memory serves, a patient chokes up a huge grub that grows into something that looks and acts like the cross between a fly, a praying mantis, and a girl on a trampoline. They defeat it with a huge laser that has inexplicably been installed at the psychiatric facility where part of the movie takes place.

I think the only reference they make to the title is a line from one of the kids: "I'll bet [the monster] is a big blue monkey!" Really, I'd still like it, but the creature isn't seen for waaaay too long and there isn't enough creature action.
