Title: The JEOPARDY! thread! Post a response, category, and dollar value.
Post by: retrorussell on November 09, 2012, 10:31:47 PM
Hey folks!
We all enjoy Jeopardy to some extent.. let's play it here!
I'll show an example:
(showing category)
Words that start with "CH" for $100.
(next poster)
A rodent native to the Andes mountains in South America.
(next poster)
What is a chinchilla?
Words that start with "CH" for $200.
(next poster)
Its capital is Prague.
(next poster)
What is Czechoslovakia?
Words that start with "CH" for $300.

And so forth, until the category is exhausted (from $100 to $500).  Then the poster that gives the last response must create a NEW category, starting at $100.

Sound fun?  Well then, let's give it a try!

The category:
70's music for $100.

I'll let the next poster make an "answer", then the following poster gives the "question" and next incremental dollar value for that category.

In which #1 song do sailors lament about what a good wife a certain bar waitress would be?

You stated it as a question....perhaps it should've been, "In this #1 song, sailors lament about what a good wife a certain bar waitress would be."

The correct response is, "What is BRANDY?"

     70's music for $500.

Damn it, yer right.  Lost myself there.

Okay, back to the proper phrasing:
Three members of this band died in a fiery plane crash in 1977; fittingly, their last album Street Survivors originally depicted the band members in a burning photograph.
