According to Des Moines police, the suspect broke into a home in the 900 block of 59th Street sometime between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday. The homeowner reported the following items missing: $500 in jewelry and more than $1,000 in electronics, including two TVs, an iPod, a camera and a video game system, according to a police report. She also told police the burglar had taken pork chops, bacon, sausage, a package of chicken and 4 pounds of hamburger.
