Title: Bits and Pieces (1985)

After hanging out at a male stripper joint, students Rosie and Tanya part ways. Tanya is abducted by crazed psychopath Arthur and finds herself tied up in his cellar. Shortly after she is cut into pieces by the killer. A few days later Rosie checks into a police station as a witness and falls in love with investigating Cop Bob - the beginning of a tender romance. However, Arthur is still on the prowl desperately seeking Rosie ...

"My mom was a whore and now I'm a psychopath" flick. Sadistic and sexist junk that's more unintentional funny than shocking. Get ready for blonde girls with big hair, cheap on-scene news reports, bloody off screen kills, a balding 40something Cop falling in love with a 30something looking student including romantic beach fun montage, romantic seduction at the fire place and romantic drinks in the whirlpool. Arthur is basically a gutless wimp, any kindergarten girl could kick his ass. I loved the naughty-wannabe cheesy synth/dance tune during the opening credits. 4/5

romantic beach fun montage
80s films that do this kind of thing...usually a bad (i.e. good) sign.  :teddyr:

Can honestly say I've never heard of this. My cut-off point for slashers is round about 1983, not sure why but I notice quite a sharp drop in 'enjoyableness' from this genre after that year, will try and check this one out though

Yeah, I thought this one went into so-bad-it's-good territory.
