Their effects in the awful "HG Wells' War of the Worlds" was suitably terrible.
With "Pacific Rim" being a summer blockbuster about giant robots fighting giant monsters, I am ashamed that a Asylum knock-off actually surprised me. I should have known it was coming. The speed with which The Asylum works astounds me. But they have to be fast in order to meet the window opened by the original movie. I wouldn't mind being a spectator to the planning and production of one of these things. Maybe they have a giant wheel of fortune, with upcoming blockbuster titles in each section. They spin the wheel, and whatever comes up, they make their version.
