It doesn't matter who the screenwriter is, though, VIDEODROME is just a bad candidate for a remake. It's too unique, and too much of its time. Ehren Kruger's writing is like that of a fourteen-year-old's fan fiction. He's terribly immature and the US version of The Ring was the only good thing he wrote. Mind you since it is a remake, it already had a source material to use. Kruger tried to "localize" it without putting in his own garbage. Keep in mind Kruger is responsible for this...
