Title: Streets of Rage (1994) Post by: claws on June 02, 2013, 05:35:48 AM (http://cps-static.rovicorp.com/1/adg/cov250/drt700/t761/t76130kuxze.jpg?partner=allrovi.com)
Melody (Mimi Lesseos) is a writer/reporter for some newspaper in Hollywood. While gathering information on the strip she meets two homeless kids. She provides shelter at her place because a crazed street pimp is killing teenage runaways. Time to clean up the streets - Melody is trained in martial arts and she's also a war heroine! Looks and smells like a cheap Cynthia Rothrock knock off but it's not. It's cheap alright, but there isn't much fighting going on. Streets of Rage appears to be a vanity project by former female wrestler Mimi Lesseos. She produced the movie and wrote the script, and was most likely hoping for a breakthrough in the B-filmbiz. Looking at her IMDb resume it never happened though. If you dig mid-90s home video production values, sunny urban setting, smooth jazz score and a former female wrestler showing off her buff body in tight clothing while neck-breaking bad guys than this might be right up your alley. Too much average dull cheese for my liking. I'll rate it 2.5/5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4s76XVTes0 Title: Re: Streets of Rage (1994) Post by: RCMerchant on June 02, 2013, 08:42:54 AM Thanks for the warning-cuz I have a tendencie to buy anything that has a kung fu looking girl on the cover.

Thanks for the warning-cuz I have a tendencie to buy anything that has a kung fu looking girl on the cover. I'll second this! Title: Re: Streets of Rage (1994) Post by: akiratubo on June 02, 2013, 10:51:58 PM That woman is extremely unattractive ... but I want to see her naked, anyway.

The cover is generic 90's action flick, and it looks like it was made on cardboard budget. In the trailer, the guy trying to seduce the lady has a worse accent than Tommy Wiseau. Yeah gonna past on this. |
