Title: Samurai/Horror Film from 70s/80s?
Post by: dfcinla on July 11, 2013, 04:34:47 PM
I'm pretty sure I saw this on Samurai Sunday in Chicagoland back in the late 70s/early to mid 80s, so it was definitely made before that. I remember it being in color. So:

A guy, I think a white guy, goes to learn secrets from a samurai type dude. There are many secrets, and to learn the last one, he must cut off his own limbs. He does so (in a forest I think). Then they show him at a board meeting, maybe it was the company that ousted him or something, and it turns out that the last secret was the ability to breathe fire. He does so, killing all the board members. He wakes up in the hospital with sheets up to his neck. He learns that he's in charge now (I might be making that part up). The sheets are pulled down to reveal that he is now just a head connected to a computerized box. He gets lippy with the nurse or starts screaming or something, and she turns a knob and he "shuts down." She turns him back on and says something like "if that's how you're going to act, I won't turn you on any more." Fin.

Anybody see this thing? I know it happened.
