Not an iota of the brooding in Michael Keaton’s take, not even the physicality and charm of Val Kilmer’s previous performance. Clooney instead takes the whole thing on by training his eyes on the person in front of him then just lowering his head slightly. Come to think of it, that’s how he acted in ALL the movies he starred in through the Nineties (just look at One Fine Day, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Peacemaker and Out Of Sight and see if I’m lying). For all he does, he’s not Batman… he’s not even Bruce Wayne pretending to be Batman… He’s George Clooney. Period."
