starring Bill Pullman. w/ Bill Paxton, GEORGE KENNEDY, and Nicholas Pryor. Found this one night when I was in a mood for a b-movie I've never seen. I stumbled upon this on Netflix online last week. I found it to be a "hidden gem". I didn't even know the cast beforehand. Pullman does an interesting job playing a brain surgeon who has developed a special brain surgery procedure. He also keeps hundreds of extracted brains in jars in his laboratory. Paxton is his friend. Or foe? Pullman uses his technique for an experimental brain procedure that a corporation wants to turn into a chain of "easy lobotomy" clinics. The operation seems to go well but things take a turn for the worse. I won't give away anything. If you are in the mood for a well acted B-movie but with a low budget, some blood and slight gore, and an interesting story, then give this one a try. It held my interest. Finding this online was like stumbling upon a late night tv flick. It's a kind of "mad" scientist movie with plenty of exposed brains. I really enjoyed it. The movie mentions Lovecaft's fictional "Miskatonic University."
