Title: Good Grief!!!!! Post by: indianasmith on October 13, 2013, 11:37:38 PM So I was grading papers from the mid-term exam I gave to my college class this week. One of the essay topics was: "Describe the strengths and weaknesses of both sides going into the American Revolution, and what each side had to do in order to win." A reply from one student explained that the weaknesses of both sides going into the Revolution were the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Black Death. Let's parse that a minute, shall we? The Black Death was in 1348. The Reformation began in 1517 and continued for the next century or so. The Renaissance, although it stretched a bit on either side, mainly occurred between 1400 and 1500. The American Revolution STARTED in 1775!

I remember writing an essay to test for classes in community college. I put every aspect of life into that one essay, just exploring every aspect of humanity as it is explored on this planet.
