I can't remember to much but here is what I have. This man travels to an Asia city I forget which one and I don't remember if he lost a fight or was searching for someone. He meets someone who teaches him martial arts. What I can remember about the man that taught him that he lived in the woods and he was called a hermit or hobbit,he also taught him this special move that when demonstrated it he put down an ox with it. Has anyone seen this?

That sounds like THE SILENT FLUTE aka CIRCLE OF IRON with David Carradine and Sir Christopher Lee.

Either that, or by the sound of the plot, it sounds like it might be some old Shaw Brothers movie, as they usually defied the metaphysical to do mortally impossible things, as well as making it damned entertaining and fun to watch  :bouncegiggle:

I put forward The Silent Flute as a possible title for Stonieboi as David Carradine's character is a blind hermit who teaches the honorable code of whoop-ass to a traveler who has lost a fight and Carradine also punches an ox out cold. :buggedout:

i got this off someone else page but it sounds like it could be the same movie: when i was a kid i saw a martial arts movie that i remember was pretty cool, I've been looking for it's title all over the internet but couldn't find it. it apparently was less-known than nrns or karate kid.
well, i try to recall the plot as good as i can: it's about an American young guy, a diplomat's son in some Asian country, i think it was Thailand but i really don't know for sure. he dates an Asian girl there, on which some gang leader threw an eye on and gets jealous. that gang leader's name was kino or something like that (keeno) and him and three other guys take him to a forrest and beat him up pretty badly and eventually leave him there. then an old Chinese peasent comes along and finds him there. he takes him to his house in the woods and cures him. then, he teaches him some martial art and a technique with a special punch (you can see the guy practising blindfolded and applying that special punch to cow thus emitting lightning and killing the poor cow. does this sound more like silent flute?
