Pacific Rim had a multitude of plot holes, but the epic battle in Hong Kong harbor is great fun. Could do with a whole movie like that.

The trailer looks suitably epic but as always never shows characters/any basic plots so we'll see [eg Pacific Rim should have just gone and done a ton of fighting instead of all the rubbish humans getting in the way.] It always seems as if nobody knows how to write good characters or just stick with the destruction. Either give me a good plot with some actual 'care about what's going on moments' or just get it out of the way and give me an hour and a half of some city being levelled. I love the atmospheric and apocalyptic tone. This sets the bar high. So I'm really hoping they can top this. That final shot of Godzilla through the cloud of debris was just great.
