That certainly was a classic film, wasn't it?  Why not have a sequel... after all these years!  Just... why?

Why?

Because Warner Bros. needs something to promote its iconic cartoon characters like Bugs, Daffy, Porky, etc., and they probably felt this was the best way to go about it.

The Walt Disney Company has its . . .

animated short subjects -- its cruise ships -- its ice shows -- its magazines -- its stores -- its theme parks -- its TV shows -- its etc.

And what does Warner Bros have . . . [DEAFENING SILENCE] That's what I thought.

What surprises me is not that it took them so long to think of it, but that they are going with another basketball story. You think they might want to try a new sport, such as . . . BASEBALL!

Oh man, I don't even have nostalgia-goggle good feelings for SPACE JAM. The soundtrack was pretty sweet though. This time around they'll probably get Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Kanye -- who will also voice characters because that's how movies work now.  :lookingup:
