Of those I didn't see from the list but intentdto are Frozen, Pay It Forward, Shrek, Monster, The Hurt Locker, Brave and The Bling Ring.

From these, I'd recommend Persepolis. This tale of a rebellious girl's coming-of-age in Iran during the Iranian Revolution has managed to quietly captivate most people I've shown it to. I did find the list interesting, even if I haven't seen many of the films listed. (1) Looking at the list, I think it is clear that women have directed some of the best films ever seen, and they have directed some of the worst films ever seen, and everything in between. (2) Also since the films were sorted by the year they were released, from oldest to newest, it does look like women are getting more of a chance to direct, which is as it should be.
