Title: TV show/Movie: two or three kids jumping over logs, a water wheel, a treehouse Post by: Mace on May 26, 2014, 07:33:43 AM I'm also trying to remember if this was a movie or a tv show, maybe it was a movie but I felt like I saw the opening sequence a bunch of times.
There is one or more kids, running through the forest, jumping over logs, they reach a stream where they have set up a water wheel, small and simple, two sticks standing up and a flap that turns constantly because it is in the river. One of the boys lives/hangs out a lot in a treehouse and likes to either play hide and seek or play dead. Spoiler: At the end, the guy who likes to play dead actually dies and his family break the news to the other boy who doesn't believe it, and climbs into the treehouse (which has a trap door entrance). It would have been before 1989, perhaps as early as 1983? I also think it was much more recent so it probably isn't the one you watched. It sounds so familiar to me though - I hope you find it!
