For some reason Hasting's has had quite a few Irish horror films hit the shelves of late.  This entry is one of the most bizarre films I have ever seen.  It's as if Tobe Hooper, David Lynch, and Rob Zombie got drunk and made a film together.

Peter is a poorly paid salesman, on notice from his boss to get his sales up or lose his job.  His girl has just broken up with him, and he is trying to be optimistic about his dead end life.
One night a smiling chap named David knocks on his door and asks to use the telephone.  David is way too friendly and way too pushy, and won't leave after his phone call is made.  He keeps dragging the conversation out, and poor Peter lets himself be browbeaten into accompanying this odd man out the door for a moment - and never returns.
David, you see, is a vicious, insane serial killer who loves to toy with his victims and wreck their emotions before killing them.
He drags Peter to view his newest disemboweled victim, then over to see Peter's alcoholic father, then challenges him to kill the Tin Can Man - a hooded mute that David keeps as a pet.  As the evening waxes on and on, Peter's predicament becomes more and more horrifying and surrealistic.

This movie is entirely done in black and white, and the camera angles are mostly such extreme close-ups that the shapes of the character's faces are totally distorted.  While there are some pretty creepy moments, frankly I found the overall effect more annoying than horrifying.  It's as if the director was trying so hard to be artsy that he forgot to be scary.

Still, I didn't fast forward through any scenes, and I didn't fall asleep.  IMDB gives this one a 7.5, so obviously some folks liked it way more than I did.
