Title: Ghostbusters returns to theaters
Post by: Chainsawmidget on June 25, 2014, 02:02:13 PM
Now this isn't the often rumored Ghostbusters 3 or any kind of remake.  In celebration of the 30th anniversary, the original Ghostbusters movie will be digitally remastered and returning to theaters in August.

Supposedly, it's going to be showing at 700 theaters (there's not a list of which ones yet).

Also, there will be a deluxe Blu-ray set coming out with new interviews with Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd as well as deleted scenes from the sequel (which hasn't actually been released on blue ray in any version yet.)

It's also got a nice little statue thing.

Cool! I'd love to see the original back on the big screen.

Looks like heaps of fun.  In Australia, there was a huge Ghostbusters craze, and it was the first movie I saw where the audience was applauding and clapping in time with the ending music.  The Ghostbusters theme song hit the top ten on the radio, as well.
