Title: Stalker Movie from mid-70's with unusual death scene...help!
Post by: kymbrown1 on August 01, 2014, 02:30:03 AM
My husband is driving me crazy trying to think of the name of this movie that really creeped him out as a kid.  He says it's from the mid 70's and is about a music teacher who is being stalked by this guy.  In the climactic showdown scene, she is in a room playing her cello when the guy creeps in and comes for her.  She ends up ramming the pointed base of her cello into him a few times as he stumbles away and then a few minutes later it shows him slumped against a wall or something just staring out into nothing.  It freaked my husband out because the guys eyes were wide open.  He also remembers how after she stabs him with her cello he kept moving and was breathing so raggedly it was just a scary sound.  He's not sure about this part but he believes there may have also been a scene with a student in water possibly drowning but he says he may be gettin it mixed up with another movie.  I have searched every way I can think to with no luck.  Does  anyone remember this  movie?

Hard to confirm this one, but I can confirm the second post - I watched DEADLY HERO a year ago and thought of it immediately while reading the O.P./before reading the first reply. It's definitely the source of the "cello attack" scene the original poster is referring to. The latter bit w/ someone drowning is a different movie. Most of DEADLY HERO takes place in NYC, w/ two later sequences taking place in the woods around a remote ranch. No drowning iirc.
