Boy, Nicole Eggert has matured. Not unkindly, mind you, but it's hard to believe it's been 22 years since Summer debuted on "Baywatch." 2 out of 5 for DEVIL WINDS. No where near as much fun as F6: TWISTER as a riffable disaster romp. This movie is a bit of a mess. It was like 1/3 family drama, 1/3 disaster flick, 1/3 anti-corporate propaganda and 1/3 ... something else. Yes, that is 4/3 worth of movie, and it still did not add up to a whole. Watch this one at your own discretion. This one is going to hurt a bit. Parts of it shine and render "fun" disaster movie watching, but the family drama stuff and scientific technobabble (worse than usual) is just agonizing. Yes, she has held up fairly well. Impressive in this day and age, but she never was an A-level actress. She traded more on her looks and her body than her ability to turn a phrase. Sad. |
