Two of three powerful artifacts allow Rugal Bernstein, a man of evil intent, to enter and control an alternate dimension where gamers have been entering into martial arts combat for fun. From there, he awaits adversaries, killing them rather than defeating them so that he alone will remain as The King of Fighters. As Rugal possesses lesbian lovers Vice and Mature to aid him, undercover CIA agent Mai Shiranui teams up with Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi to stop him before he can unleash a dread spirit named Orochi upon Mankind. Being a fan of the KOF games since 1994, I wanted to like this movie, I really did. I could only take about half of it before I outright turned the Netflix player itself off. Street Fighter was bad, but at least it was fun. This wasn't.

To quote myself in a Skype text conversation, censors added to keep it work safe:

Quote
[11:05:44 PM] CQ: Iori is not a playboy. He's not dating Mai. Mai isn't flat-chested. Mr. Big is black and has a shaved head. Rugal does not randomly mow down people with guns. Saisyu Kusanagi is not a sickly mute. Kyo isn't (censored) white. Terry Bogard is not a (censored) middle aged CIA agent. The KOF tournament isn't held in another dimension. Why does Vice have Shermie, Ramon and Duo Lon on speed dial?
[11:06:18 PM] CQ: That movie broke me.

Anybody else see this, and regret it too?

This was BAD, and not just as an adaptation of the games.  Just a p**s- poor inaction flick.

It was un-f**king-believable how far from the source material this garbage was. I'm not even a KoF fan (Never played it) but I'm still offended just on principle.

What kind of idiot makes a movie that has NOTHING to do with the source material?!
