Title: 2015 - TRACK THE BOOKS YOU READ! Post by: indianasmith on January 02, 2015, 10:47:49 PM I realize that not all movie people are constant readers, but many of us are. I've often wanted to track the number and titles of the books I read in a given year, but never got around to it. How about making this a sticky thread and everyone that wants to can list what they're reading at the moment. No plot synopses - we'll save that for the "Reading Anything?" thread. This one is purely to list your titles. Who's with me??? :teddyr:

Title: Re: 2015 - TRACK THE BOOKS YOU READ! Post by: Rev. Powell on January 17, 2015, 11:00:38 PM I'll join after I finish my first book this year. I'm not counting books I started in 2014. I usually read 2 at a time (alternating nights according to my mood) so I go half as fast.
Title: Re: 2015 - TRACK THE BOOKS YOU READ! Post by: ER on January 23, 2015, 12:23:23 AM I haven't had the chance to jump into too many books so far this year but things are picking up.
Got The Empty Throne for my birthday December 24th and finally got to read it this week. Better than The Pagan Lord was last year but Cornwell's series has clearly run out of steam, unnecessarily. Also finished Ronald Oakley's God's Country, a scholarly overview of all aspects of American cultural and social history in the 1950s. Much denser than David Halberstam's project on the decade. And was much disappointed in the latest Constantine comic a friend let me borrow. Bring back Hellblazer, pretty please. Title: Re: 2015 - TRACK THE BOOKS YOU READ! Post by: ER on February 04, 2015, 10:30:10 AM The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon. Disappointing, I'm afraid.
Ayurvedic Cooking by Sri Prabuhati. Good. Heavy on marinating. James Herriot's gentle masterwork All Things Wise and Wonderful. Many times re-read since childhood and still has the power to cheer me up to the point I can forget the fact that it was in Yorkshire that I got the worst food poisoning of my life. On Heaven and Earth, by Pope Francis, the impending Jimmy Carter of Pontiffs. It was a slow fortnight for reading. Title: Re: 2015 - TRACK THE BOOKS YOU READ! Post by: Rev. Post by: indianasmith on April 19, 2015, 12:29:45 AM Been a long time since I read a 500 page book in a single day . . . but having never read the Harry Potter books, and then hitting the end of HALF BLOOD PRINCE, I wound up downloading and reading ALL of "The Deathly Hallows" today. Now I'm going to bed!
