Title: Trainwreck Must-Sees for 2015
Post by: ulthar on January 15, 2015, 10:32:22 PM
Lots of folks talk about new release anticipation and movies that are on their "must-see" list.

Well.

How about a BMDO must see list of cinematic trainwrecks from years past?

My first entry:

MIAMI CONNECTION (1987)

What is on your "trainwreck must-see" list for this year?

MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE.

I own it in a Mill Creek collection, I've just never watched it.

Oh yeah, that's no trainwreck, it's a masterpiece!

I've never seen TROLL 2. Don't know if I'll get to it this year but I'd like to. Finally saw THE ROOM last year and it was worth the wait!

A conceptual trainwreck, I'm adding SANTA'S SUMMER HOUSE (2012) to my list.

Troll Hunter should be on your list, if you haven't seen it yet. It's on Netflix.

Just got a hoopla account and there's some "fantastic" stuff in their catalog I need to get down with - KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE, NIGHTBREED, FRANKENHOOKER, MANIAC COP, all the PUPPET MASTERs, and two sequels to OUTPOST. And that's only the tip of it...

BUT-not awful like watching a made for TV Christmas movie-I men in a GOOD way-it's so horrendous it's hypnotic-like watching a monkey trying to f**k a football.

Killer Klowns, Frankenhooker, and the first Puppet Master are among my favorites--lots of fun. I have fond memories of Nightbreed also, although I tried to watch it again recenty and didn't make it past the first ten minutes. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood...

I'll add Vegas in Space  to the list of cinematic trainwrecks. It's an ultra low budget mess about a group of men who must infiltrate a planet where only women are allowed. It stars a bunch of transvestites who make much more convincing women than men, and it is chocked full of "humor" tailored for the transvestite community. I watched this in disbelief that such a movie could exist. I'm not a tranny myself; I've never even been to a drag queen show. It's just not my thing. This movie is just so far out of my realm that I couldn't turn it off. I'm even thinking of buying the dvd just to prove (to myself and others) that it exists and that, as the Bard said, "There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

I'm sure Fifty Shades of Grey will be fifty kinds of sad. Adapting a terrible erotic novel to an R rated movie. Great idea, huh?

I own a copy of EL TOPO on DVD.  I think it put me to sleep when I "watched" it.  I need to try again I guess.

It made the cover of Famous Monsters (!)! Thats when I first heard about itI had that issue in 1973-I had ALL the issues when I was a kid from 1970 until STAR WARS killed it.-thats why I typed it in. Never heard hide or hair of it -but I re-bought the issue on ebay in 2005-and I said to myself-where the f**k is that movie?
And this is the first time that I typed it into you tube-I did research it when I was older online-but this is the first clip Ive seen of it-I GOTTA see it!

Still got this issue-I GOTTA see this movie-Talk is 3 versions were made-this one-a porno version-and a gay one!
