Title: Paris Hilton's brother was a major league jerk on a flight
Post by: sprite75 on February 04, 2015, 09:24:04 PM
And I do mean major league. (http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/04/entertainment/conrad-hilton-assaulting-intimidating-flight-attendants-charge/index.html)

Quote
Los Angeles (CNN)Conrad Hilton, the younger brother of celebrity heiress Paris Hilton, allegedly threatened and intimidated flight attendants on a British Airways flight from London to Los Angeles last summer, using profanity, smoking in the bathroom and calling passengers "peasants," federal authorities charged this week.

Hilton, 20, surrendered himself to the FBI on Tuesday -- charged with interfering with flight crew members -- and appeared in court later that day, said spokesman Thom Mrozek of the U.S. Attorney's Office. Hilton was freed on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned March 5.

The federal charge alleges that Hilton "knowingly assaulted and intimidated flight attendants of the aircraft and, in doing so, interfered with the performance of the duties of the flight attendants and lessened the ability of the flight attendants to perform their duties."

Supposedly he could get up to 20 years but somehow I doubt that would happen.

Twenty years would be perfect IMO.

I would have loved to defend myself against this guy if he started a fight.  I'm surprised no one on the flight did just that and straighten him out.

As satisfying as it might be, the problem is that the Hilton family lawyers would launch all manner of lawsuits for 'violating his civil rights'.  It's also likely that he was traveling in First Class, which would make an encounter with him more unlikely for most people.  Money might not make him untouchable, but it does make straightening him out more difficult.  Best leave it to the government, haha.

I disagree: South African Airways once let me travel First Class.

Oooh, I can see the headlines now:

"South African film archivist hailed as hero for stopping Paris Hilton's brother's psychotic rampage"

Dozens of Badmovies regulars would read that headline and think, 'Trevor???  Yes!!!'

It takes a special kind of jerk to start a scene on a plane. No one can leave and people are reluctant to do anything because everyone is on a plane and not expecting to be called upon to deal with something like that
