My favorite STAR TREK episodes and movies always involved time travel - from "City on the Edge of Forever" to the 2011 STAR TREK reboot, not to mention the series finales for both TNG and ST:V. But at the same time, there is always something headache-inducing about the possibilities, too - what if you meet someone in the past and their interaction with you, however passing it might be, changes the future? You know, the whole "Butterfly Effect" think? PREDESTINATION takes this kind of mind-bending game to a whole new level. Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook star as a pair of time-crossed lovers whose decisions may change everything . . . including their own existence. This is one of the most bizarre films I have ever seen, my head still hurts as I try to figure out some parts of the plot. That being said, it is HIGHLY recommended. Watch it and you'll see what I mean. 5/5 |
