Title: I embarassed myself again.....
Post by: Trevor on March 23, 2015, 08:47:29 AM
Oy.......... you can never take me anywhere....... :buggedout:

My boss and I attended the Mimosa Film Productions 50th anniversary dinner last week: these are the people who made The Gods Must Be Crazy among other films. In a beautiful function hall (mirrored ceiling, the works) a couple was entertaining the audience with songs during supper and one of the songs they sang was Sir Elton John's Daniel.

I had just come in from going to the gents, heard the song and went to stand near the duettists: a couple of seconds later, the lady turned to me and smiled. I realized then that I was singing along and a little too loud.................

At least you didn't jump up on the stage, grab the microphone and start doing a verse or two  :teddyr:

Could have been worse . . . you could have grabbed the mike and said:

"I'm really happy for ya and I'mma let ya finish . . ."
