Title: Gah! A very sick mind combined Comic Sans and Papyrus
Post by: sprite75 on March 26, 2015, 11:57:43 PM
Gah! (http://motherboard.vice.com/read/someone-combined-the-two-worst-fonts-in-existence)

Quote
A rude designer has mixed together Comic Sans and Papyrus typefaces together, thus creating the Nelly and Tim McGraw of fonts.

The eye-tearing combination was concocted by Ben Harman, a once respectable graphic designer who’s gone rogue. Just kidding, his stuff is great, but this is certainly not.

The “world’s first genetically engineered superfont,” he as describes it, is called Comic Papyrus and will forever haunt your dreams. “Your two most favoritest fonts ever have FINALLY been smooshed together typographically, just as Darwin intended. Cross-bred. Cross-awesomified,” he adds.

The font combines the tear-inducing curves of Comic Sans used by kindergarten teachers everywhere with the sneeze-starting texture in Papyrus. There has been a few attempts at this before, but this one is actually downloadable (and useable) for $5.

Maybe if it was free and I wanted to make someone's brain reboot I would but not for $5 I'm not.

Bah, it is just comic sans with the "old" effect of papyrus. Just check the "a" or the "p"...

I never understood how comic sans came to be so loathed. Who could get worked up over a font? It's perfectly readable, which is a font's only function in life.

On the internet it was meant to describe infantile type of font, at least from what I have gathered. Personally I think the bandwagon for the hate train has been over blown to death multiple times, even though I really don't care about it.

I agree with you, overall if one uses it for small block of texts...
