Title: AMERICAN HIPPIE IN ISRAEL on TCM tonight Post by: major jay on May 16, 2015, 02:10:55 PM I fell in love with this movie when I caught it on TCM a few months ago, and tonight it's making an encore performance. If you are so inclined, stay up and revel in it's badness. I doubt you'll be disappointed. It's one of of a kind. :wink:

I also thought Grindhouse Releasing over-marketed as a "lost cult classic" which caused me to go into the film skeptical. I'm sure if I'd discovered it on my own by accident I would treasure it more. It certainly has its moments---"pushing buttons," mime hippie massacre, the dream sequence, the sharks, that brutal "I don't get you man" conversation. I would think most people here would dig it if they gave it a chance.
