Having major home improvements DONE and not having to worry about them again for YEARS!

Hugging my wife and my daughters.
Holding a cat in my lap and listening to him purr.
Finding a nice arrowhead.
Getting feedback on my book from my favorite reviewer.
Walking into church on Sunday morning.

The smell of fresh cut grass.
Dining with friends.
a good nights sleep! (I'm old)

The fact that I can read Austen, Dickinson, Byron, Shakespeare, Dickens, Wilde, and so many other fine authors in their native language.

A tall, cold glass of rich chocolate milk!

A good workout high!

Laughter with friends and/or family.

The change of the seasons
Peaches
That feeling after a long day doing something physical, where everything feels tired and warm

Ice cream.

A long, thoughtful debate in which everyone remained civil, despite differences of opinion.

Throwing a perfect bull's-eye in darts....while people are watching!

In other words, daydreams?  :wink:

I would say coffee but I consider that more of a major life pleasure/necessity than a "little thing."

Instead I'll say the smell of frying onions and garlic.

Sunday afternoon naps . . . with my wife  :wink:

Good friends: the family God lets us choose for ourselves.

A long walk along the beach on a warm day with my wife.

That family for me is right here.  :thumbup:

The way my koi fish chase a red laser pointer light.

A nice nap on the couch in the middle of the day.

Sleeping as late as you want to.

A day spent not wearing pants.

A really good book.

Being able to wear pajama pants when possible.

Being an adult by taking a nap with no pants on.
Having some whiskey and apple juice for an after nap drink
playing old school games you grew up with.

My rescue cat from my sister-in-law's farm pleases me. 
He's at my feet now... purring.  He's very large.

Finding little family artifacts here at my house, like golf balls my grandpa hit into the woods when he lived here from 1965-2000, or one of my grandma's sewing thimbles that must have been dropped and rolled in an air vent, or even bigger things like tools and books and quilts still here from those times. It's a strong connection to people I loved.

Some nice tea with honey.

Writing a great riff/song.

A nice breeze on a warm day.

The sounds of my budgies chirping.

Practicing my vocals and music.

Going on a long bus ride.

Re-listening/rediscovering an album, band or movie I used to love in my younger years.

When someone smiles at me.

Going on a long walk.

Waking up in the middle of the night and realizing I have a few more hours to sleep!

Waking up on the weekend and realizing I have a few more hours to sleep!!

Neighborhood gossip (is that bad?)

When people offer their seats on the train. It's such a rare occurrence that I actually tear up a little when I see it.

Going out in the rain

Realizing what I thought was a spider is actually a tiny frog

Finding 4 leaf clovers

Hearing my neighbor sing along to power ballads at night

Hearing my daughter sing along to power ballads during the day

Hearing from Mom daily.
Doing my job to the best of my ability.
Watching these things called movies  :wink:
A huge bucket of coffee  :drink: in our cold weather.
Having a car after not having one for almost two years.
Being addicted to life and only that.

Oscar Wilde-isms, like: "Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder." The man was gay and Irish. You can't get much more colorful than that.

Getting to the car and taking off uncomfortable shoes. An incomparable feeling of bliss for about a minute.

After two frustrating days o chewin on it, I was too exhausted to use it, but I finally got the new short block engine in my Murray MS2550 2stroke weed whacker workin... :)

I saw a bald eagle perched on a phone pole.
A BALD EAGLE! A real one! It was beautiful-right here in Lawton,Michigan.
I like waking up in the morning-and I turn over-and I see Tiana sleeping-shes so beautiful-I feel blessed.

I feel lucky to wake up in the morning-and to live another day-my days are numbered-I know this-I am lucky.

I love watching ants interact when I'm sitting on the porch-and thinking about there life-it's fascinating.
They have no clue I am RIGHT THERE-hovering over them-I could change there world with the mere move of my foot-I suppose alien life forms feel the same about us. We ARE ants.

I have three mimosa trees.
I was pretty sure I had successfully killed them all, then two of them came back with a vengeance.
Today, I found the third one had little green leaf buds coming out of it.

Brought him outside today; I've done it before.  I told him to lay down.  He did.  He's remarkably smart.  He was raised with dogs.  He thinks he's a dog, but of course, he has CAT brain.  He jumps up in Nammer's old seat... he's there now, right next to me, grooming...

I love the taste of the first swig of whiskey after a long week-to kick back-all is right with the world-put in a Ramones cd-enjoy the feelb of being free-even just for two days.
Or anything music wise.
I love my radio. I got an old 80's boombox-I dont have much else-my computer is hooked up at Tianas-my home is stuck in the 70's.

Dead wasps.  Just took out a nest with Raid foam spray.  Lifesaver!

I stomped a wasp once-and put his crippled body on an ant hill.
That was interesting.

A cold iced coffee on a rainy day and a nice gin and tonic on the couch while watching some dumb show. Also, the smell of old books or when you walk by a lavender bush.

I love the smell of old books-old comic books-when I get an old comic-hmmm-ahh)-I smell it before I read it..  :smile:

I love wandering around flea markets and coming on a nice cache of old books-paperbacks from the 60's about ufo's,ghost stories-or old Sgt Fury comics.
Old Life magazines,or Time. Any of the period news mags. And if I get lucky-Famous Monsters or Castle of Frankenstein!

Walking out in the woods and  finding old bottles.  :thumbup:

Waking up and seeing a momma deer and her two babies right under my bedroom window, like today.

When you fill up your gas tank, and the pump stops exactly on an even dollar amount.

Watching some obscure old horror or sci-fi movie from the '80s, a real low-budget affair that you'd be surprised to find on anything other than a well-worn VHS, but no - it's on Blu ray and it's mastered from the original negatives and it looks freaking fantastic  :teddyr:

Cold limeade with a dollop of vanilla ice cream floating in it.

The cake some people on my dad's side of the family make.  There's two layers of cake with whipped cream in the middle.  It was my grandpa's favorite too, he'd still try to sneak some in even after the doctors said it wasn't a good idea for him to eat cake anymore.

Good music.

Yesterday I saw a bumblebee land on a rose, climb inside, and its weight made the flower lean to the ground. After getting its pollen, the bee hopped off onto the ground, and the flower lifted back up. Nature's elevator! Seeing that pleased me...

Having a new roommate that isn't a complete slob like the last one.

I saw a state trooper changing a tire for a stranded motorist in 100+ degree heat yesterday.  It was a reminder that we never see a lot of the good that cops do.  (The motorist was a middle aged black woman)

Seeing no less than 161 shooting stars in two nights.
