Title: Sabotage (2014)
Post by: Trevor on July 02, 2015, 12:38:58 AM
I watched Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest film last night: directed and written by David Ayer, it deals with an elite DEA squad whose covert actions (especially covertly pinching $10 million from a drug dealing cartel) lead to them being killed one by one in very gruesome ways.

I liked it as it is very action filled and funny in parts but the only hassle I have is, Ahnold included, there is not one likeable character in the film you can root for as they are all bad. One of the team is killed when his Winnebago is parked on a railway track while he sleeps: along comes train, *BANG* and you go "So what?"  :buggedout:

Also, the main female character is intensely unlikeable: played by Mireille Enos, she normally looks like this:

And in the film she looks like this: sort of a drug-addled whatever:  :buggedout:

The point is, you don't give a hoot about what happens to the characters and that is the film's major failing. It was good but not great.
