Title: Mid 90's creature regenerates inside a bunker
Post by: Camplain on August 23, 2015, 12:01:21 PM
Hoping someone can identify a movie I saw on cable when I was a kid sometime around 1993.

All I remember is there is a creature that almost gets into a (underground?) facility that may have been located in a desert. The facility goes on lockdown and as the gate closes it severs a small piece of the creature. The severed bit is placed in an area for study. In the night, around the time a love scene is taking place elsewhere, the tissue starts to regenerate and of course leads to a creature on the loose inside the facility. I can't remember if it regenerated completely on it's own or if it needed to consume victims to grow.

My memory is very fuzzy, but as I recall the creature was of humanoid shape, reddish in color, likely covered in slime. If I had to compare the texture to something it'd most closely resemble Carnage from the Spiderman comics.

Been wondering about this for years, excited to start checking suggestions.

Maybe one of the Terror Within movies?

I think you're right! Will have to track down a copy to be sure, but IMDB's description of Terror Within II sounds very much like the movie I remember. Thanks!
