When my aunt was born Elizabeth was not quite two months into her reign. Kind of puts it in perspective. Despite "Charles III" with Tim Piggott-Smith in the title role coming to Broadway November 1 of this year, we'll most likely never see it happen, as, despite the passage of time, there are still hard feelings out there about Diana's divorce. Anyway, what do you do with Camilla? Anyway, there's a better candidate if you skip a generation and make Prince William, who has a wife and 2 children--a boy and a girl, the next reigning monarch. And Charles might not (http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2005/dec/27/monarchy.michaelwhite) take the name Charles III due to negative connotations with the name Charles. It's been suggested he might take the name George VII after his Grandfather.
